Inspiration?: Who the hell knows. All I know is that this took a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long time to write on a window, to take numerous pictures of, and to put together. UGH. Why a window?: Because I just didn't want to have a picture and THEN text over it. I decided to make a picture with the words. (Words = grass lol) Is that suppose to be a flower at the end?: No, it's suppose to be those little cotton things that fly around to plant more dandelions. How large is this in real life?: Oh goodness... about 35 inches long, and 14 inches wide.
Okay, so here's what I did: +Used a LOT of Windex - I haven't cleaned that window in so many years. Lots of dirt on that sucker I had to clean off! XD +Used a LOT of green marker - Well, what else was the grass going to be?! (AND YES, that's an ant XDD) +Took a LONG time to write - I kept messing up in certain places, and I had to keep washing it all away to get the perfect placements and such. +Took a LONG time to take pictures - I went outside to take pictures, because I knew that this sucker wasn't going to fit on one picture and still be readable. So, I went out into the world for the first time and took pictures in numerous places. +Took a LONG time to put together - D: Let's just say it took me about 5 hours to finally get all the pictures in place in Paint, and about 2 hours of that was waiting for my computer to copy and paste everywhere.
I hope you enjoy this, and can read it. If you can't, this is the poem:
When the sun rises over The slim horizons, and The rays climb into the Melting snow, that always means The Flowers bloom. (Shape of a flower
And when the flowers bloom With the beautiful colors It brings to the world, You find the lives of the Few that matter Choking on pollen. (Shape of cotton things)
At the end of the poem, I had the lines: "Spring: a deadly season" But I just took it off, because I thought it was cheesy =/
Wish me luck to win this! (I won't, because I'm not as creative as the others) And expect more window poetry in the future! (Even when it took a long time, it was hella fun )
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
